Course Description
This online course was developed by the Southwest Utah Public Health Department and is for anyone seeking a healthier lifestyle. The course is designed to be completed at your own pace. Each step takes about 15 minutes to complete.
How it works
This course outlines 10 simple steps to help you reach your healthier YOU goals. The steps are accompanied by short readings, videos, and action steps. In addition, the course offers participants support from the course instructor and a registered dietitian to offer guidance and encouragement.
As an incentive, after completing the course you will be eligible for a free A1C test or a home blood pressure monitor.
The A1C test involves a simple finger prick. You will get your results within a few minutes, placing you in the range of normal, prediabetic, or diabetic.
To receive a free A1C test or home blood pressure monitor you must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Washington, Iron, Kane, Garfield, or Beaver County.

About the Instructor
Mallory is a Registered Dietitian and Project Coordinator for the Southwest Utah Public Health Department working on Diabetes and Heart Disease prevention. She is professionally trained in diabetes and heart disease education. She has presented nearly 100 times on the topic of self-improvement and nutrition to a wide range of audiences. Her clinical experience includes providing one-on-one and group nutritional consultations in hospital, community, and long-term care settings.
Mallory recently relocated to Springdale, Utah to pursue her passion to help people develop a healthy relationship with food to promote health and prevent disease. She received her degree in Dietetics from Utah State University.
